PM Narendra Modi gifts a lab-grown 7.5-carat green diamond to US First Lady Dr Jill Biden The diamond reflects earth-mined diamonds’ chemical and optical properties. It is also eco-friendly, as eco-diversified resources like solar and wind power were used in its making.

A businessman from Surat, Mukesh Patel, owns the diamond factory Green Lab Diamond. It is in the Ichhapur area of the city. His son, Smit Patel, said that it was a matter of great pride not only for Surat but for the entire country that the lab-grown diamond was gifted by PM Modi to Jill Biden.
